Raymond Mpubani is the Africa Editor at the Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN), an international association of 155 nonprofit organisations in 68 countries that support, promote, and produce investigative journalism. His role as Africa Editor is to strengthen and build networks and organisations of investigative journalists in sub-Saharan Africa. Mr Mpubani is from Uganda, where he started out at the Daily Monitor newspaper as a reporter, online subeditor, and online editor. He also worked for the Africa-China Reporting Project at Wits Journalism as an administrative assistant during his time as a graduate student in the department. He is a co-founder, editor, and writer at Uganda Business News. "
