Alloycious David

The News Newspaper, Liberia
Alloycious David is an award-winning investigative Liberian journalist and fixer for several international media companies. He has extensively probed land grabs by multi-national companies in Liberia, and has covered other beats such as natural resources, the environment and politics. Alloycious has done investigations for Green Advocates International, an environmental rights group, and has also extensively reported on illicit capital outflows. He is part of ‘Wealth of Nations’, an award-winning programme run by the Thomson Reuters Foundation in collaboration with some of Africa’s leading organisations to promote excellence in journalism. Alloycious’ investigation into the arrest, torture and killing of a local land rights activist in prison in Southern Liberia received international attention, and exposed the intimidation and brutality of local communities facing land grabs from international firms. He is among the group of journalists involved in the West Africa Leaks investigation, led by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists and Norbert Zongo Cell for Investigative Journalism in West Africa.
