Investigative television often presents with a unique problem. The subjects of a television investigation understand how damaging it can be to face off, on camera, against a well- prepared journalist or presenter. They refuse interviews, send reams of responses on paper or via their lawyers, some wipe all their images from the internet, leaving you the journalist trying to tell a visual story with no visuals of your subject. So, what do you do? Using a few recent examples of my story telling I will take you through how I solved some of these problems and still got the story on air.
