With cutbacks a reality for journalists, more people are going freelance. It means that it’s more important to market yourself across different platforms, and to learn new skills to get a share of shrinking editorial budgets. This session will also look at the need to think of yourself as a business, as well as opportunities to access reporting grants and other ways to survive as a freelancer in the 21st century.
