GuptaLeaks was the South African story of 2017 which led to the downfall of President Jacob Zuma. The leak of a massive trove of emails from Zuma's allies, the Gupta brothers, set off two teams of journalists chasing down the stories hidden in them. To handle the quantity of data, they had to form cross-media teams, but the two teams competed against each other as well.
